How to Switch Containers

Switching containers is for changing your workflow (e.g., SD → Jupyter → DeepSpeed), not “fixing a slow machine.” Follow the steps below to restart into a different container image.

WARNING: Switching containers is a destructive restart. The current container session will be replaced. Save/export anything important before confirming.

CloudDock uses separate container images for different work scenarios. When you switch containers, you are selecting a new image and restarting your session into that environment.

1Open the Dashboard controls

Go to your CloudDock Dashboard where you control your instance (Start / Continue / Restart).

2Click “Restart Instance” (Switch container)

Click Restart Instance to begin the container switch flow. A list of available container images will appear.

3Select the container image you need

Choose the image that matches your work: Universal (SD + Jupyter) for daily SD workflow, or DeepSpeed for deep learning workloads.

WARNING: Restarting replaces the current container environment. Unsaved data inside the container may be lost. Please back up your work first.
4Type “Confirm” and proceed (case-sensitive)

Type Confirm (case-sensitive) in the confirmation box, then click Confirm to proceed. This step prevents accidental restarts.

5Wait for the new container to initialize

CloudDock will start the selected container image for your session. Once ready, click Continue to enter the new environment.

Need help? If you’re unsure which image to use, contact customer support with your desired workflow (SD / Jupyter / DeepSpeed).

You're now ready to work in the right container for your task.
